Background

Marcus Correa is an expercienced ESL teacher who holds a Bachelor in Teaching, Post Graduation in ESL Teaching and many courses and seminars on how to bring what's best for students in class, including TESL, CELTA, TESL Ontario, etc.

In 2019, he was invited to present in a Teachers' conference at the UofT (University of Toronto) on how to make classes more engaging and teaching English through fun and less stress. And he's working on his Master Degree in ESL Teaching later in his life. He has been in classes for over 8 years and also he's taught in some different countries and, for that reason he acknolegdes and respects all different cultures and customs students may have.

Teaching Style

Marcus' classes are known for being out of the box when the context is teaching. With an experience of more than 8 years of teaching around the world, his style consists in a mix of daily life topics, a bit of grammar, listening, vocabulary, expressions, reliable materials and lots of speaking, interaction and fun.

Marcus works in order to support his students' confidence and reliability to express themselves in English naturally, with thought-provoking themes he chooses for each week in his classes. And in addition to that, his lesson plan is about 18 weeks long if you want to complete a level with this teacher.

If you are looking for some fun while learning, Marcus Correa should be the teacher you've been looking for.

Class Materials

Due to his experience with all kinds of materials, Marcus likes to play around with different kinds of material in order to meet all the students necessities inlcuding grammar, listening, expressions, idioms and lots of speaking practice in a PowerPoint Presentation made by him, covering all kinds of books, PDFs and real-life texts. His classes are split into weeks, so that means, every week students study about a specific topic (e.g. workplace, travel, food, etc.) and every day some aspect of that topic is taguht and discussed in class in groups and through homework as well.

The material and extra activities are available to download on Google Classroom (Find link attached to his classes)
