Learning Objectives:
By the end of this class I can:
ask someone for their name.
say their name.
make simple purchases by pointing or other gestures.
say the letters of the alphabet.
greet people using a few basic fixed expressions.
name a few very common everyday objects.
recognise and say the name of their own country, nationality and language.
ask someone what their nationality is.
read out phone numbers.
spell out their own name and address.
say other people’s nationalities.
ask and answer basic requests for information with What’s this/that?
tell the time of day in full hours.
name a few common jobs.
give very limited personal information using basic fixed expressions.
use some very basic words to ask for food and drink.
name very common forms of transport.
ask for and give a phone number.
say their own age and ask someone about their age.
ask for and give the day and date.
say what they do (e.g. name of their job, student).
ask about the price of something.
ask someone what their job is.
establish basic social contacts with simple, polite greetings and farewells.
say a range of basic numbers, quantities and prices.
ask for and give a date of birth.
ask where other people are in a limited way.
ask and answer simple questions about things they have in a limited way.
